You would think that with the massive amount of people not working that there would be no need for foreign workers, yet our current government has money for foreign workers and at the same time paying our Canadian citizens to stay at home. WTF.

Bucket, how do you expect to get an agristability when Mr Hall of Flame Ritz Cracker designed and gutted the program to ensure it is utterly impossible to qualify for a pay out?
Thank your fellow Conservative posters on here for not even making a squeak while the Cracker was doing it.

we can bellyache about agstab processing, but the problem here is the accountants. most farmers give their info to their accountant when they do their spring tax return. the accountant then sits on the info and files by agconnect on the September 30 deadline. so it just sits at their office for five months, then gets sent in with thousands of other farmers documents and doesn't get looked at for another month or three.
farmers, get on your accountants to get the info sent to crop insurance the same time as they send in the tax info in the spring. otherwise they won't do a thing.
it's even worse for companies with a non calender year end. they could sit on that info for over a year.

Devin Dreeshen helped gut the programs while he sat in Ritz's office ...now he is an agriculture minister in Alberta....second generation politician....Last edited by bucket; Apr 14, 2020, 07:52.

Just sent in my $4500 to AG stab.
Ah, I love pissing away cash for nothing. Would have been better buying probably 45 home lotto tickets and at least I might of won a home.
Oh, 2015 is now done correctly according to them.
Wait for it.
A letter just arrived could you explain 2016, please.
FM.

I’ve been out since since Harper gutted the program, no chances I would ever trigger a payout, 70% crop insurance will trigger payment first, but crop insurance only covers yield not price. If we had $6 canola and$3 wheat then maybe agristab might kick in. Gars looks like it could be a decent program but I don’t trust them on setting premiums. For now I will stick to crop insurance until something better comes along, not holding my breath that will ever happen.

Saskfarmer, it sounds like this program is driving you nuts. If you used excel spreadsheet and did your own every year, you would find it far less frustrating. It’s not brain surgery - your sales, production and inventory is valued. That value is compared to prior years. As long as one year you don’t say one thing, then the next year say something different, they are ok even with a slight variance. Just saying from experience. One years ending is the next year’s start.
