Unions and workers suing companies for unsafe workplaces covid19 of course.

How the heck is that gonna help matters, workers ain’t got a job now, and won’t have one to go back to if company gets found to be negligent.

Might be happening else we’re in the world.

Here in Saskatchewan a nurse travelling to remote native reserves apparently was infected before going there and has spread the disease there.
Reserves are apparently suing the government now.
Your example and this one Could be a real mess unless there are laws protecting the health system and businesses from this kind of thing.

But aside from that if true why in the world wasn’t that nurse tested prior to going there?

And if they can sue In these cases aren’t all governments liable since it’s evident now that about Jan 3 Canada and USA were aware there was a problem?

Yes the world is crazier than before,if you can imagine,here you can only but 4 litres of milk at atime but producers are dumping milk,in bc 3% goes down the drain,while the lines get longer for the food banks I used to think supply management wasnt such a bad thing but now I realy question the wisdom. People will remember this next time gov hands out cash to dairy farmers.

No people won't. The dairy lobby will just point to the US where 5.5% of the milk is currently being dumped and claim that our system is less wasteful than in the US.

The nurse wasn't tested because we don't have enough test kits. Part of the reason we don't have enough test kits is because we're selling them to the US. Mind you, Health Canada hasn't approved the test kits that we're selling yet. They're good enough for the CDC but we have to check them out.

The Canadian bureaucracy is unaffected by the WuFlu.

But aren’t we bragging about doing the most tests here? I would have assumed it logical that our health care workers would be rhe first to be tested and tested often. What’s the point of going to get tested if the person you’re going to see about getting the test is infected?

I dont know why I am always defending supply management here?? But it's not the Dairy farmers that are wanting to dump their milk. Their is a lack of processing capacity because the usage has changed mainly because of the closing of restaurants. Would it be better for the processor to take it and then they dump it?

Maybe govt can do a little good for a change. Make certain litigations illegal or difficult.
Unions have only purpose anymore, self promotion.

Our military warned the Trudeau government but it was racist and xenophobic to close borders or stop flights. Provincial and local governments weren’t privileged to that information so interesting to see if there are lawsuits.

Compare it to a grain farmer taking perfectly good grain and dumping it into a slough or creek. It hardly makes sense to me either. Giving it away would be better than dumping, processing existed for all the milk in the first place. I understand where the demand dried up but I bet no one has stopped eating yet. Food banks are in need.

If what you say ha to has merit,then why is milk still limited in store my grandson has to go daily for milk which puts him and his family at more risk from exposure to covid . From what I understand is if they ship they have to be paid the regulated rate,so they have to dump instead of giving a break on price (they are protecting their price) but in a time of crisis why cant they relax the restrictions put on by the marketing boards.

Quite possibly no one thought of it or there is no straightforward way to do it.

OUR laws/supply management, the farmer can not sell or give it away directly to a consumer...
