    Sorry guys more china

This why I need a strong China as does every Australian livestock producer.

They take wool and meat barley and beef and export hay from aust.

A well run, free trading, stong China is something that, barring revolution there, will only exist in our imaginations. You simply can't achieve that will top down authoritarianism.

The whole world relies on them-not just you. This is so much uncharted territory moving ahead. We wish we didn't need them, we wish we were self reliant, but we're not. Such a big reset coming.

Unless we get a big whack of the population willing to off themselves tomorrow, I have a funny notion that they are all going to want to eat at least once each day. Grain keeps the poor fed, but the first world gets a little cranky if they don't have meat.

What may disappear is the steady supply of every fruit and veggie 365 days of the year.

We all need every market. Our canola market is pretty dependent on China, we were lucky this year with the recent spat with China as some other parts of the world were short on canola and oilseeds and could pick up some slack creating only marginal price declines. Next year we may not be so lucky.

Reminds me of the old saying, "The rich have their ice in the summer. The poor have theirs in the winter".

Maybe the land north of highway 16 should go into prevent plant or the CRP ( conservation reserve, doesn’t that sound fancy and good for all the carbon tax lovers).

Any way, if that was the case there would be more opportunities for the canola growers in the south 😊
