Today she told us that she has now been put in charge of the Covid response project at their hospital "complex". This means having an older, somewhat dilapidated building lightly renovated and set up for isolating and treating those who may become ill with the virus. But so little to work with.

So far they have not had any cases in their catchment area. We are just so grateful for that. It is presenting in the larger cities.

She formerly worked in an Emergency department here in a city hospital. Some of the crap she put up with was unbelievable. Everything to work with but a highly disturbing environment. Politics...

Over there they have pitifully few resources but everyone there shows complete appreciation for what help they get.

So ya, outdated masks would be gold there. One of the preps she is undertaking is getting the local seamstresses to sew masks for the hospital staff. They are given two each and have to take them home with them to wash after each shift.
