Sounds like they are trying to gouge their membership...

Allot of the diesel and gas out there was made on higher crude prices, oil companies hedge their sales just like we do with grains. My guess is some of these cheap crude prices will eventually hit the pumps it will just take time to clear out the system. Like right after seeding.

Seems something is wrong though....Saskatoon at 60 cents at Costco and they do not own a refinery....79.9 at the local co-op and they are part of a company that owns a refinery...

When a Coop Super B tanker leaves regina....doesnt matter where the end point is ....the fuel should be the same at a Co-op....

There is no way it cost 20 cents a litre more to deliver fuel to small town Saskatchewan than to Saskatoon....when the small town is 50 kms closer.

Then a guy should wait for a while longer to fill tanks???????

If oil goes up from zero ...which WCS is at....fuel moves up pretty quick....and at 79.9 locally when oil makes it back to 50 ...gas will be 2 bucks a litre...

Perhaps they dont have empty storage space to continue? What are they gonna do if nobody is taking away the duel in the other end?

Don't forget Saskatoon has a primary distribution terminal with refined product arriving by pipeline.
This increases the chances of competitive pricing.

It will go allot lower so don't fill all your tanks for the next five years quite yet, there is no airline industry or vehicles driving to use the fuel. I would just buy as you need it maybe next spring might be worth filling everything for a year. Costco is allot cheaper because they are using up all the expensive stuff they bought earlier and they are onto the new price. The coop still has expensive product in their tank and they don't want their local coop members to take the hit. No different than when the local fertilizer supplier filled up his bins with $1000 per ton fertilizer and its goes to $500, what does he do with his product? I think he sells as much as he can for $750 to get himself out of the mess. The coop refinery filled its tanks on crude that was $55 per barrel now its $20, it will take a bit to use up that inventory. I think the CARBON TAX may be worth more than the price of fuel by the end of summer.
