the same sunday scrum talked about this being a good time to phase out of alberta and Saskatchewan's oil and gas industry and move to a "cleaner economy." this debate will also get around to focussing on agriculture, how we can move to a more "organic" industry that the nfu is pushing for.

It is now estimated that 1/2 of all restaurants across country will never reopen. Bankruptcies will soon explode.
I did a quick google and 1.2 million people employed in restaurants in Canada in 2017. So 1/2 of that is a lot but realistically just the tip of the iceberg. Not sure anybody is prepared for what is coming!

Quit beating my drum you guys....land prices only go up you know.
Some say land will slip, some say it's going to continue on it's way up.
          Anything selling in your backyard?
Until I see it change at ISC(Land titles Sask) and the values on Farmland Security Board web site...I don't believe the coffee-shop talk. It gets "talked up" pretty fast, sometimes to unbelievable prices. It makes for good "conversation". I usually dont repeat rumors that I haven't verified, easier to say "I don't know".

Yep. I don't even pay attention to the women as they represent the socialists and the Indians. I only watch to see John Ibbitson's point of view as he is relatively sane.

Funny. Funny as a successful bunt single.

Really funny for a third base kinda guy...

Land sale's values are sometimes measured as a ratio of the "assessment". Pick the ratio.

Assessments aren't always reflective of the land's quality.

FCC also says land values have increased but not at the rates seen in the recent past.

We might be flattening the curve shortly. I would't expect one asset class to be immune to overall asset depreciation or asset value destruction. Time will tell.

One has to assume the ‘green energy’ sham has lost its lustre, with the unemployment levels where they are and the basically free oil and nat gas feedstock.

That is right, if oil/nat gas free, "GREEN DREAM/SCAM" has turned to SHIT! Finally a nail in that stupid idea from GRETA the abused...
Those 59 money losing turbines by SaskPower should be cancelled ASAP!
