Was at a Agstab meeting just after Ritz gutted the program, talked to the head of Agstab after meeting and he admitted that the Program was dead and would not provide what it was originally designed for. It put him awkward position to try to explain to farmers why they didn’t qualify.

Getting back to the subject, what percent of farmer’s are actually in Ag-Stab? I’ve been out for at least 5 years and have no plan to join until there are some significant changes made and I doubt the SK party has the appetite to address this problem. JMHO

we looked at getting back into it last year but the paperwork and prying into our business reminded me why i got out in the first place , finally said piss on it
we carry crop ins and hail ins anyways so no chance collecting

Once upon a time, in the beginning, accountants could figure out exactly what your AIDA cheque would be and if the cheque was different, they phoned in and corrected the processors. I think the Chinese got into the computers and messed them up. Maybe WAWAY. 🙅🏼*♂️

And as ZI ssid before, it's the barometer for the financial health for a cross section of enrolled farms.
Did someone say our enrollment fee is paying them to analyze the economic and production data of our farms.
Also, the government saw the huge potential liability staring them in the face, they thought it needed to be mitigated.

Agristabilty says I must be doing OK because I haven't had a payment....alot of mistakes made on their data entry side that I have had to figure out for them...

But as far as a barometer of financial health....bankers decide that on an individual farm...


But FCC has the idea that if you don't want to go big ...they will recommend a buyer for your farm...

While my numbers are discouraging....starting to grow some parts of the farm from within can take a toll on revenue...

Rebuilding the herd using my own cattle is a marathon not a sprint...now throw in another issue like what is going on now which will be similar to BSE with not an ounce of help for the sector....I am trying to explain 75 cent per pound calves to my kid ....you soon lose your zest for seeing a new calf ....

As crazy as tweety drives some of you, is he that far off base when he says the solution rests with us(to a degree...my words), at least within our own borders. Not competing with other nations treasuries but controlling what we can. Probably require a monumental shift in thinking.

We froze in 2002 on August 3 real bad. Crop sucked for yield sent in and guess what sweet **** all.

It’s a stupid useless program

Everyone froze in 2002. Well you must be doing just fine, even with the last 10 out 15 being flood years. Hope you get your crop off, it sounds like its turned out ok in the end and if done before end of April its much better than fighting with it still in mid may.

You really should try looking at the positive instead of bitching all the time
