        Good deal mallee.
Nothing is better than having enough feed for the critters. Were you getting dry before this? The grass is just waking up here from winter’s slumber. Hopefully a month or so and the feeding can end here.

Our season traditionally starts from late April till say late May considered a normal start before is a early break or at worst can be a false break grass germinates then dies if follow up rains don’t occur till say June.

A late break can be when rains occur in June July but often are good years.

Historically many of the worst droughts come from best starts.

On cue as well lambing started yesterday saw about 6 little lambs a warm rain the should survive.

Rare earth crops grown here wheat barley oats

            Vetch for sheep feed

            Canola

And lupins and trying faba beans this year trying 50 acres

Plus self regenerating medic and grass pastures

We’re only 350 mm rainfall spread across the 12 months predominantly April till October plus summer storms which are rarely much use except for drinking water catchment.
