Wouldn't look good if Canada's 2000 fighting soldiers got whiped out by the mohawks.

It isnt about the guns, its about the property rights. If the govt can pass something like that with no representation or remuneration to seize legal property then they can do that for anything.

And then there is this to make your day; We gotta hope this economic crises swamps skippy before he can call a snap likely in the fall. Otherwise, game over.

As long as the government doesn't take away all our guns we'll have a fighting chance, I'd be concerned if a farmers obituary had the words " but at the end his grease gun was empty. "

        That sounded like Gary Larson.

I've heard the property rights talk for 35 years. Not new. Still relevant. But in Canada, not enshrined in our Constitution.

You know your guns more then me, what do you see on the list?
Not an expert by any means.
Many of the mentioned pieces likely museum pieces.
They wanted to kill the 50 BMG cal target guns with their 10,000 Joule clause.
              Encompasses all the above.
Extreme long range sport now limited to the 338 Lapua.
WW1 anti tank rifles of 12 mm similar bolt action stuff likely a few dozen in the country. Listed.
They tried to list the name registered and sold under. They actually missed a few if you take their list literally.
Won't say which ones for obvious reasons.
              Keeps the lawyers paid.

Better add matches to the banned list too. It appears that close to half of the Nova Scotia victims died in house fires.

"9 of the 22 victims of the Nova Scotia rampage died in fires set by the gunman, investigators say"

Ban lists of museum weapons. Now that is so funny.

There is a 3 D print program made, or in the making that will be better than the museum piece original in function, and quality. If you think you are at risk of government confiscation, then buy a machine off e-bay. It will likely be a government surplus model.

Property is the domain of the crown. You are considered but the custodian of a government allowance, until you are not.

I'd really like a functioning cannon, (Canon Printer), but I'm off to print a copy of their next quarter section!

You just made it for me. He was determined to kill people. If he couldn't use his weapon of choice, he used the next option.

Thank you. And moments of lucidity are always encouraging to see.

Never will , but in the meantime criminals will still get guns and First Nations are exempt so this is all just a publicity stunt for votes

Farmers hunters sport club shooters can all own guns here.

A little more difficult for townies o4 civilians who may or may not need a firearm.

Any correlation between legit users and well let’s say non essential gun owners and gun crime?

PS I’m well aware we don’t have as many pests as you guys here you need good weaponry compared to me.

Foxes rabbit occasional roo that’s it for me oh and snakes.

Yeah semi racist comment sorry but if indigenous people here had free reign on firearms it would be Helter Skelter

I was listening to Public Safety Minister Bill Blair being interviewed yesterday on the CBC program The House. One of his justifications for the Liberal gun ban was that when all the details come out about the Nova Scotia mass murders it will be revealed than some of the weapons used by the killer are covered under this ban. So here is my question, an account in Macleans talks about constable Stevenson running head on into the killer but the killer got out and shot the constable, killing her, then he took her guns and magazines. So how will the Liberal's gun ban prevent a criminal arming himself with weapons in this manner?

Also interesting to note that on one hand Trudeau says these weapons covered by the ban are designed for killing humans, on the other he said that Indigenous groups will be allowed time to replace these weapons that they use for hunting. The liberal mind is really something.

Well its a good thing our natives still have access to these guns. I mean we wouldnt want to impede on their traditional lifestyle. Rifles were here 10,000 yrs ago.
