    Farm support

Any predictions on what this announcement will be?

    #2
Well, so far they have done Zero for Ag. Gave a few loans.

I'm guessing Quebec pig farmers will get some help and so will dairy and chicken.

Western Canada is where he will ask Butts and then move on to say we should wash our hands and social distance.

Whatever form support takes will involve signing a contract to not promote violence or promote hate and to march in Pride parades once they return after the pandemic.

Mental health will be a priority as we all need to talk and keep working for nothing.

The only people getting help are the ones making up the the stupid phrases like....

              do more ag
              agvocate
              ag more than ever

No mental stress when you get partners to help fund it and only update the site once in a while....

No real advocacy work going on....just per diems for showing up at farm shows etc..

You want to solve mental stress to farmers.....throw the equivalent proportion of money at them like the US farmers have....

A 7 billion dollar ad hoc would take care of it and the economy as a whole really quick...that money would turn pretty quick...

I am reminded of a story about the value of IPSCO to Regina....so Jack Turvey paid the employees in two dollar bills to prove a point....when the $2 dollar bills started showing up everywhere ...the point was made....

Unfortunately you are most likely right. That and money for multi billionaire Cargil to “upgrade” their facilities.

We don't know that for sure, so let's just wait and see what they announce, no sense getting our panties in a knot this early in the morning. My bet is that just like a lot of these other programs not many will qualify anyway and it will all be just lip service.

They will pump more money into Agstabilty so more administrators can be hired.

Everyone else gets ad hoc, are we going to have to pass a means test?

That’s a sure bet for the Libs, it’s impossible to collect Agristability, mission accomplished.

I know, I know what it is......its a farmland rental subsidy so investors get an appropriate ROI on the "risk" they took on their investment.
