Yeah as soon as Trump identified a generic drug costing 2c a day, the MSM went into overdrive to discredit it and big pharma rushed studies on a bunch of unproven drugs costing $1000 a dose. But thats a conspiracy isnt it. Remesdivir has just as many for and against studies for it, yet I dont see people bashing it.

We will see but you guys are welcome to line up for Billy Gates annual arm c ocktail.

If we get something for TDS though that will be the big breakthrough.

We report, however, that chloroquine has strong antiviral effects on SARS-CoV infection of primate cells. These inhibitory effects are observed when the cells are treated with the drug either before or after exposure to the virus, suggesting both prophylactic and the****utic advantage. In addition to the well-known functions of chloroquine such as elevations of endosomal pH, the drug appears to interfere with terminal glycosylation of the cellular receptor, angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. This may negatively influence the virus-receptor binding and abrogate the infection, with further ramifications by the elevation of vesicular pH, resulting in the inhibition of infection and spread of SARS CoV at clinically admissible concentrations.

        Conclusion

Chloroquine is effective in preventing the spread of SARS CoV in cell culture. Favorable inhibition of virus spread was observed when the cells were either treated with chloroquine prior to or after SARS CoV infection. In addition, the indirect immunofluorescence assay described herein represents a simple and rapid method for screening SARS-CoV antiviral compounds.

Since you live under a rock, here is the story of HCQ.

On March 18th, on Fox News, Tucker Carlson opened a three-minute segment about the study by saying, of the United States, “This is a country of science.” He then introduced a lawyer, Gregory Rigano, whom he identified as an adviser to Stanford University’s medical school. Rigano had self-published a white paper about chloroquine, on Google Docs; his connection to the French research was otherwise unclear. He was appearing remotely, wearing a suit and sitting in front of a cold fireplace. When Carlson asked him why he thought the study was important, Rigano responded, “The President has the authority to authorize the use of hydroxychloroquine against coronavirus immediately. He has cut more red tape at the F.D.A. than any other President in history.”

Stanford never even heard of Rigano - and Stanford never heard of the extremely flawed study. The story took off, and the weak minded retweeted it as fact. Jazz posted it as fact - and most of you fell for it. Now you're just too embarrassed to admit how you have been duped over and over.

John Oliver shows example after example where idiots like Trump watch TV and then the next day spout it right out as fact as his medical professionals watch in horror. Injecting bleach, strong light, the models are wrong, distancing doesn't work, its the flu, the list is much longer.

And your response is - he's not a farmer. It's a sad day for agriculture.
          Oliver/fox/msnbc, whats the difference?

Not so good when the cells are in a bag of mostly water with a cardiac system and a brain.... ie The patients kept dying from heart failure.

Brazilian chloroquine study halted after high dose proved lethal for some patients.

Donald Trump has previously urged Americans to take hydroxychloroquine, although he has apparently backed away from the drug in recent days, and on Thursday even suggested that injections of disinfectant could cure Covid-19 – an idea that was swiftly refuted by experts, who warned the public “please don’t inject bleach”.
