Selling hard to develop precious resources only to buy it back as disposable junk for our landfills.

As everyone who can perform simple math keeps pointing out, China needs us(USA, Canada Europe etc), we don't need China. Their entirely export driven economy depends on it. There are lots of other regions of the world who are willing and able to manufacture, including right here in North America, There are no other consumer driven economies to export to.

Well we lived without them in the canola market for the last year. Wouldnt take much trade negotiation effort to find a another home for all the commodities we export to them. But that would take an adult in charge of the country, not a commie lackey like we have.

We need to trade with like minded western countries and democracies. Period. No more China, or Saudi Arabia.

We have a trade deficit with all these countries and instead of buying more from us, they insert themselves into our economy and take more that way.

Willing and able to manufacture I agree but what cost. Will cash strapped consumer pay 40 even 50% more fo same item?
Can these places crank up immediately?

Guess I produce different commodities wool we need China 80% of wool is processed there. Down almost 50% year on year. Pork lamb malt and feed barley our biggest markets by a large amount and noodle wheats.

Just on beer see in our rural weekly estimates beer consumption to be down 10% world wide this year eventually currently 6% gonna strain malt prices and there’s a backlog of beer as well.

You guys check out what’s in your house your clothes your chemicals your bearings plastics all Chinese.
Took some Scroggin to snack on with me the other day bugger me even that was chinese .

If USA and Canada got together and banned Chinese, there would not be a Dollar Store left on the continent. Just sayin.

Can anyone please translate the last sentence?

The demand for your wool won't go away if manufacturing moves from China and gets dispersed further and wider.

I usually don't take time to respond to any of Bin's provocations.
Thought I would this time. No response yet of course.....

Guys I hate to break it to you but a lot of the time china is just buying our products as a front so they can burrow into our countries. Canola was being stockpiled for years. Thats probably how they were able to cut us off last year.

Assuming we have anything like transparent trade with that country is a mistake. Trade is a political tool for them.

China doesnt want to buy our products. They want to own them here and export to themselves all while controlling our politicians and then controlling our access to the same resource, just like they did with all the PPE.

All of it could have been a front for Huewei who put Nortel out of business and now all our tech repurposed for sale back to us.
