CWB Export Wheat Quality

Where can we find 2002-03 quality (grade and protein) figures on the wheat exported by the CWB and when?

No quality numbers are included in the CWB annual statement, why?

Good thing the USDA requires BY LAW that companies release sales in excess of 100,000 MT. Had something to do with the great grain robbery in the 1970's.

As a note, sales export volumes are published weekly by the CGC. The other side of the issue price is not available for individual sales/shipments but indications are provided for export business in spot at the Alberta Grain Commission daily prices.

At least we get information from the trading floor about hedges being completed in the pit, Boone.

If you want to keep a running total, its available through a variety of newswire services.

Thats more than what we get on wheat sales.

incognito: Now I'm not looking for a _issing contest here. I was wondering if all transactions by Pioneer, Cargill, AU, SWP, ADM,L-D, actually are exposed through the floor, to properly track. Or if they are done without a round trip. And furthermore would this be a healthy law to be enacted, to always expose demand. It would be best if domestic crush had to clear as well. You might enjoy a job there with all that traffic. Maybe get a big house, like one of them brokers, on a shady street, with pillars and a veranda.

We get CND crush every week from COPA.

I think canola in containers is going under the radar and exports from the CGC are out of whack.

100,000 MT is a good indication of demand. I like the idea. Dust off the Grain Merchants book again and re-read it.

See, if you keep reading this board long enuff, then you too may get a job and a house on Wellington Cr. Not me. Been there, done that - not going back.

Ward W told us Tuesday that the CWB itself knew of 100,000t of malt barley shipped on containers to the far east.

I do not have a subscription to the CGC data base... can't get in and see export numbers or grade/t breakdowns.

incognito:Touche, Where would be the best place(gov. wise) to push for this change. Disclosure, is a powerfull tool in anything, just ask N.Dakotas Byron Dorgan___? I like shade trees but I have an aversion to anything strong enough to throw a rope over. Heck I'm even afraid to go in the barn these days because my mind keeps wandering. Anyway can anybody buy that grain merchant book? Or is it available through a lending library?

I think as much as 300,000 MT of canola has left these shores via container this year alone UNDER THE RADAR.

Big deal you say! It is when we come to the end of the year and look at carry.

Did Ward W. indicate how much wheat has left our shores via containers?

25 years... this year... ammazzing how time flies... 8 years since the Western Grain Marketing Panel... seems like it was yesterday... nothing has been resolved.

Farmers convicted last week...

The US cash price still a dollar or more above the CANADIAN CASH PRICE, what good is that?

But Incognito, I can feel it in my spirit... and my bones... we are sooo close...

We know we MUST fix this... not destroy it... even though my CFO says NO!

Can someone find and post the 02-03 non-durum CWB export wheat numbers, tonnes we class of wheat, and tonnes of each grade exported?

Tonnes exported to the US and grade brakedown by grade would be great too!
