      There may indeed be more problems with Native North Americans or African Americans but it most likely stems from past inequities.

      The hang over still exists and will linger for a while yet.

      But I think efforts are being made to change that.

      Whether the affected and their families take those opportunities or not will determine the speed of recovery.

      In some instances I think bars are even being lowered to facilitate the transition.....and we're not talking the Limbo bar.....we're talking the high jump bar.

      Expecting a complete 180° change in direction in one generation is delusional. And in the meantime some groups found a criminal career element to make matters even worse.

      A persons home and community should be their safe haven....no different for homes on reservations or ghettos.

      Let's cure the cause.....not the symptoms!

              I don't completely buy into the notion that this is a DNA thing, there is potential in everyone. It is how that potential is fostered or nurtured makes the difference.
