On Friday's CTV Edmonton news at 6:00, 2 young black women (20 somethings) were interviewed at the protest in Edmonton. They expressed moistly that the revolution was here and if you didn't get on board you would be ERADICATED. Is that not hate speech? Do we not have hate speech laws in this land? But then, guess what? On Saturday's CTV Edmonton news at 6:00, the exact same 2 young black women were interviewed again with a very toned down message. I guess they got a pass on the hate speech.

If cops don’t clean up their act, there will be a revolution. Mexican-style policing and thugs belong on some other planet. Respect for law is earned. It’s actually sickening to see what is becoming of law enforcement. This is what the protesters are saying according to an interesting article I just read. Society must be careful - every man is innocent until proven to be guilty in a court of law but that’s not the way it is.

Agree some cops need to clean up their act .
But the vast majority are good people who put their lives on the line to try and keep our communities safe , and so you and your family and kids can have somewhat of a normal safe life .
This whole ban the cops funding is ridiculous, sorry .
I guess it all comes from the perspective of where you live and how you live your life .
I for one have never been intimidated from police officers so maybe it hard to understand.
But if you don’t be an ass , you won’t be treated like one either .
So I will agree to disagree there .
A lawless society will be a gong show .... time will prove that in these situations

Furrow, you don’t need to be an ass. A 15 yr old pulling a trailer down alongside the Creek in the tall grass.. Our hired man with full semi of lentils is approaching the bridge. The kid pops out of the left bridge onto grid road. The semi takes out the right corner of bridge and takes ditch to avoid him. Rolls semi - is trapped in rolled cab. Lucky he wasn’t badly hurt or killed. Cop comes a week or two later later with ticket for our semi driver driving on wrong side of road. Problem for him was that I had pictures from the scene showing semis tracks almost on top of right side of bridge and corner gone. You better believe there was a protest. This kind of garbage is what makes one bitter. Then brother-in-law Calls cop for on-farm theft, cop goes around trying to ticket him for unregistered vehicles that never leave the farm, fuel truck, old water truck. Get the picture?

Cops obviously must have not much to do in your area
It is a vastly different situation here and elsewhere
Not trying to be an ass at all, just saying there are a lot of good people on the police force especially in this area that deal with a lot of extreme situations daily , and most are just trying Do their job and raise families in our communities as well
