Seattle will be next followed by other cities as people get the flock out of these special areas

Commonly referred to as "White Flight" when the taxpayers move out.

Happened in the 60's and early 70's in places like Detroit.

It has been happening in Toronto for years, irony of ironies. It would almost give the impression that retirees don't like the outcome of their city's voting patterns.

Ever since the the last federal election, I've wondered why residents of Toronto would vote for JT again.

Yes, some are getting cheques and may be afraid of losing those with a change of government.

Was it the increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere that Justin is single handily going to stop world-wide by taxing Canadians

Was it the happy tobacco law.

What am I missing here, those are the only three positive things that I can think of that a liberal would vote for that JT has accomplished.

          Can anyone from Ontario comment.

THAT is the sole reason we have the government we do. Going to be hard to change this.

IMHO, it's a complex of causes - 1st, the media relentlessly hounds anyone with even just a hint of Conservative values. Even the small-town newspapers are getting to be insufferably left-wing.

Also we might be seeing the results of several decades of Liberal/Marxists indoctrination from the education system. For this reason it will only get worse.

But I don't know - it just seems like there is broad tolerance for leftist corruption and screw-ups and absolutely none for any perceived Conservative sins, such as those committed by Rex Murphy or Stockwell Day for speaking truth.

we are in the third phase of the "strong men make good times" cycle
the fourth phase (weak men make hard times) is unstoppable and inevitable
the romans never saw it coming either

I voted for Paul Martin many years ago because he was a successful business man and ran a tight budget, I won't waste time comparing JT's antics to Paul Martin's business skills.

But if the captain of the ship can't spell water, it's time to get the gang plank out or head for the nearest port.

How do some of these parents tell their kids it's ok for some people to act in a lawless manner but not others.

Double standard, for the good of the party. What a bunch of BS.

I'm not married to a political party, past performance gets my X every time.
