It is more that he wants to disturb the peace and then slink away like a weasel so that he doesn't have to face the music. The guy won't even debate points that he himself brought up.

I think Kenney is a big disappointment. He isn’t any better than Scheer, DEAD WEIGHT. Western premiers should make a stand. Did Quebec care if they won or lost the separation vote? Just that threat got them the clout that they wanted.

Flea Beetle, If my memory is correct I think you are referring to the idea of resource sharing that I brought up. Here is a report on the subject.

Resources are already shared with every Canadian no matter where they live. Our socialist tax structure makes sure of that. In fact they are disproportionately shared with people who live in provinces that have none.

If they strike oil or gold on a reserve then obviously that band should benefit much more proportionately.

But if they hit oil on my land, that's between me, the oil company and the taxman, period and I would expect a smaller share of the revenues because its the technology and ingenuity that brings that resource out of the ground, ownership is a smaller part of the equation.

Your idea would drive what little investment we have left right out of the country.

I had the Enbridge folks come by to settle up this spring. They had some damages on my land following construction. During their reclamation they had 9 indigenous inspectors watching on my land. You can see where this is clearly going.
