Austenson feed Barley that is decent just a little uneven because of the yellowing in the tractor tracks when the ground was to wet.

Always looking for a snack when out scouting. They need heat to sweeten them up.

Big challenge keeping the deer out of the garden. They really like peas and beets.

Ours have very few berries and still a week away. I think they don’t like wet feet

Another 3/8” tonight. Got drenched and quit fencing when the lightning got crazy.

At least we got the ugly sand hill before the mud. The corn in the sand is handling the wet ok but is really late due to the cold. The heavy clay isn’t fairing nearly as well.

Our canola is really late. Not sure if it’ll make it or not. Doesn’t seem too bad till I see everyone else’s pictures.

We had a couple acres not get any PKS on it and it’s quite interesting to see the difference.

A few guys are knocking hay down and it makes you feel behind. Hopefully we can get the fencing done in a couple days, haul the cull cows to town, finish rebuilding the chopper, and get started on silage next week. The trend of daily thunderstorms shows no sign of stopping.

Never smelt it but it would be hard to beat a fresh cut field of alfalfa. Hope to enjoy that scent soon. 🍀

We have been through that many times but what is really helping is we plant tillage radish on half the garden every every summer and plant that side the following year. Also had a couple tandem loads of sand dumped in there and mixed it in with the clay.

Everyone all around here has F*CKING sprayed across water from crazy floods! Screw the environment that tries to DESTROY us once in a while. All that water evaporates or soaks in in a while. Nobody dies...dilute dilute dilute = no risk
