    Ration-Al;

    Today's cash price in Montana;
    Montana Dark Northern Spring Wheat #1 (13.5%) at Great Falls: $199.09/tonne (Canadian) or $5.42/bushel (Canadian)

    http://www1.agric.gov.ab.ca/$department/deptdocs.nsf/all/agc5136?opendocument

    To Compare Ontario grades with CWRS is wrong to compare grade to grade. #1 Canadian Eastern Red Spring grade, which the Ontario Wheat Board buys, has no Hard Viterous Kernal requirement, Just like CPS Red. Ontario #1CERS could grade like CWRS#4/Canada Feed some years in western Canadian grading standards.

    Boone ole boy;

    My canola was all sold 6 months ago...

    I did own some Canola calls over the last 3 months...

    We are now working on the 2005 crop!

      RationAl, this is indeed entertaining. I would submit though, that it is not terribly enlightening.

      I have been wondering for a while where the Perfessor Gray/CWB benchmarking excercise is at? I thought you guys had a pretty good little economic (sic) model there to give us the perceptions you wanted to us to have. Was it so obviously flawed that even the CWB is too embarassed to use it.

      And as for the original thought in this thread.....can a market do what a dog does after it pukes?

        Tom4cwb: Good on ya, I wouldn't expect any less. Incognito: go easy you ain't going to sell this guy a magazine, The one thing I've noticed about every different point of view here and in life. We all basically want the same things for ourselves and families, and we all put our pants on one leg at a time. That may change if I get to Wellington in the Peg, but for the most part let's not forget we are all just Pilgrims here, on this ship of life. And to follow it up I wish our ex Ag minister Clay Serby who is taken on a personal battle, best wishes speedy recovery and a long life.

          Everest;

          On that Gray benchmarking study...

          I heard it went against CWB value added promotional materials on monopoly single desk selling... and was dropped...

          Official CWB staff (Ward W)statements were that there is no comment that it even existed, ever.

          What did you hear?

              Rain: I agree it is too dry to get agressive selling too much of anything, and the way that wind is howling outside we will soon have grasshopper eggs (topsoil) blowing around. Any decent fall basis contracts for canola out there, which companies are looking to fill the order book.

                As you can see, I took some time off and decided that spending time with my son ( 1 yr old) is more important than grain. Thanks for the ref. on Serby, Boone. Kinda puts things into perspective. And besides, I can win arguments with him....lol. I think i'm 0-9 in here.

                He is starting to scare me tho...he is clutching books already like White. He would rather have a book than his blankie. I'm bending all the pages to right and hope the subliminal message gets through.

                    Incognito;

                    We really need to value the intuition of the "smarter" gender in our business each and every day.

                    I suppose not everyone is fortunate enough to have a good working relationship with the smarter variety of the human species... but with a little patience and hard work... they usually can help us much more than we want to admit!

                    If we would work half as hard at understanding where they are comming from as they do for understanding us, we really would gain sooo very much!

                    Not knowing it all is a tough pill to swallow though... especially for the males of this species!

                    Is Belinda more than media and This Hour has 22 Minutes would admit?

                    Is this why she is picked on... there is more to this than we would like to really think about?

                    Would she truly turn the federal gov. on it's ear? Is this what we need right now in leadership?

                    Too bad Belinda didn't start 2 years ago... and have some time at us learning who she really is?

                      Nice when the thread adheres to the topic.
