Will be train wreck here and north . Crops advanced lately but still behind in many areas due to a much cooler than normal 2 1/2 months
Hopefully not till after the full moon on Sept 2

Is that the weather network outlook? They always have a zero in the night of the last day in the 14d forecast, just to scare us I guess.

Peas getting sprayed this week that’s a full two weeks ahead of last year

Friday and Saturday, weather network had us with 100% chance of 100 to 150 mm of rain for next saturday. Now down to zero chance. I see this a lot, and it is ridiculous. It’s like they let a child in with his crayons to screw it all up. Wait, can’t be, he had yet another “personal day”.

Our largest rain of the year was half an inch. I would say we will be very close to a crop insurance claim on the canola acres, durum slightly better, and lentils are ok but shut down premature. However if the fall and winter stay dry. We are in big caca for next year as subsoil moisture is non existent.

Interesting that you mention that....was talking with my brother about the very fact that this crop was grown on zero subsoil moisture and if some good rains don't show up in october / november....next year will interesting to say the least...

You can see in the low spots where the crop development should be....the rest of the fields are turning ....its a false maturity look,, upon closer inspection the crop isn't developed from what is being seen from the road....plus its shrinking daily because there is no gas left in the tank even with cooler temps.

Lentils will start getting it sometime next week here, that's about average for the area. Want these off 3rd week in august usually.

Some peas in area here will be dried down this week. Hail hit them 35-70 in area
Our barley hopefully swathed in before the 20th .
Wheat changing , damage minimal but time will tell.
Canola will change quick I hope . Hail damage shut off flowering so should start to turn when sun returns this week .
Had decent rains here past two days , hopefully fill what’s not damaged. Some pods lost 50% or more seed from hail bruises.
Fabas hit 50% but have regrown well but may run out of time on that top 1/3.
Hail damage from adjusters in area this past week much like expected... 20-70% A few at 10 or lower closer to town .
85 plus north east of us , crops there getting cut for bailing .
Need 10 more days at least if 20 deg or more before cold overnight temps .
