While I understand the strategy of.... NDP bad...saskparty good....its time to start holding the saskparty accountable to their nonsense...

I have a letter proving the agriculture minister is either a liar or a poor planner dated in February than no major irrigation projects were in the works....and since then he has funded irrigation to the tune of 15 million and the saskparty is going to spend 4 billion....

The saskaprty has been no better supporting farmers than the NDP...imho ....

It would be better if the NDP could get a team together that voters could at least think about...or the old conservative party make some moves to get profiled candidates to shake up the saskparty...

They have been in power far too long...
Not having enough tax payers is Sask is a huge part of the problem.
The other was the dismantling of rails
Add in poorly built roads in the first place and you get what we have here in Sask . A never ending patch job on the majority of the Hiways .
1/2 of the population can’t support everyone else.

Needs a load of gravel dumped in that hole.

Someone pointed out bull rushes....yikes. That is wet.

You can't shame Dept of Highways or CN/CPR for poor maintenance....because they have no pride and are cheap. We have a private rail crossing coming off some land we own, not a municipal road, that the crossing planks are very rotten. The outer one is completely missing on one side of a rail...GONE. I wish we would knock that rail loose by driving over it with a load of grain. They have been diplomaticly asked to fix it about 3 times. We have a pipeline corridor running along the rail line and highway too, CN won't let Enbridge use that crossing for construction or maintenance of their pipelines. So when Enbridge needs to do a maintenance dig in the middle of the quarter they have to drive through more crop to get to it than use that approach , actually they have a dig staked out right now.....right at that approach but they can't use it.

And no doubt this is coming, there has to be a way to replace the fuel tax on all of the electric vehicles currently getting a free ride. Rather than a prohibitive one time fee at registration time, I foresee road taxes based on GPS tracked miles driven ( based on weight of vehicle) being the model. And I am fine with that. Why should someone using public transit, or feet, or a bicycle, be subsidizing my neighbor who drives an hour to work everyday in the nearest city?

And while we are at it, lets apply the same logic to the power grid. With a user pay system, for those who are using the grid as free storage for their solar or wind generation. The more you use the grid for storage, the more you pay. That way people who don't abuse the grid in this way, don't have to subsidize those who do, with their electricity bills for grid and dispatchable generation costs. This would help electricity regulators lower costs for everyone.

        See what I did there?
This solar and wind thing really triggers you. You can't seem to get over that solar works, it's the cheapest generation source in many countries and many utilities around the world are investing in cleaner energy sources like solar and wind. Saskpower for example. This must really bug you. Is it because you can't afford to invest bin your own system? Jealous and envious perhaps?

So you are worried about the support and subsidies to solar but not to farmers and other industries? Or the subsidy to deliver electricity to your farm below the cost of the rural grid?

Did you apply for for your interest free CEBA loan/grant yet? LOL

You don't seem very concerned about support and subsidies to the oil industry?

You seem very selective in your subsidy worries! Why is that? LMAO

Yeah, have been phoning every year for the last few years about 2 approaches. The last time, the guy in charge made it a point of bringing gravel, but dumping it in someone elses approaches. Maybe my blade will gouge into the dirt next time i am pushing snow, and it will take me a while to find the clutch to get the tractor stopped. Wonder if they will fix it then?

Yes, very maddening dealing with these types. Unbelievable that they would rather not fix the crossing, and make Enbridge wreck your crop.

If the ministers office thought that serving the public meant something and that if they didn’t they may be out of government they’d do something. But as it is you see this more and more from an old government that feels they can do what ever they want to who ever and still get elected. We re doing this to ourselves.
At some point changing just to sent a message that hey asshole we ll even take these other losers for one term if you keep taking us for granted.

Ungrateful. First I like Chuck's post, then I respond acknowledging that he had said something rational and why I agreed with him, then in response I get an angry rant complete with LOL's and LMAO's.

Did I misread the original post and it was meant to be a joke? It didn't contain and LOL's so I thought he was serious, but perhaps we have been misreading him all along, and the LOL's indicate a serious post, the lack thereof is indicative of a joke?
