Heard he got a government grant then broke the company.

They were supposed to have a new design after the 860 did anyone ever see the design

There was an article in the British magazine, Classic Tractor, a few years back about Massey testing a successor to the 860. The article included a picture of it side by side with a White 9700 rotary. When White finally went broke Massey bought the combine division and sold the rebadged White rotaries. The article was mentioned in a thread on the Combine Forum.

Could you find 100 decent 860's in working order? And you could probably get 200 for a million dollars, good thing we have free health care because if you did that you couldn't afford to have your head read but probably should.

There are pictures of running prototypes of the next generation of MF combines that never made it to production on the Legacy quarterly website. TX903 was the model number. In this area there still are machines like the 850, Tr96, L2, white 8900 and JD 7720's harvesting the crop.

North American combine manufacturers needed to pull their heads out of the sand after Lexion got its stuff together.
New Holland / Gleamer the only ones actually designed for small grains .
New Holland does not get the attention it deserves, but that’s all to do with Deere and Case marketing and colour loyalty . But that’s changing fast now as they became way overpriced for their capacity and real productivity in small grains and oilseeds .
Reality is single rotors limit capacity in anything other than corn and soybeans, which has been their focus for 30 plus years .

We had the Fendt for about a week last year and it could eat grain. It had a few problems but it was an early version.

This monster might get to the farm but I will not trade three for two. Not going to happen.

Tried just about all of them. Went back to Case partly for the local dealer. Doesn't matter the colour if dealership is managed by an asshole. It could have three rotors, 4 sets of tracks, 3 re threshers and wouldn't matter. Support is everything.
