Ahem, the Sask Riders, our only "pro" league team has amazing support. Some other CFL markets have to compete with other sport entertainment markets so some teams might not enjoy the support Sask provides their CFL team.

It really is too bad that this Covid thing is screwing up so much stuff. Imagine the pain the hospitality industry is feeling.
Small businesses. There will be casualties that Covid cash won't save.

I am not a sports fan, and would be tickled pink if all professional sports ceased to exist.

All I know about the CFL is what the sports casters on the radio drone on endlessly about, near as I can tell, this sums up the CFL:
      There are about 3 teams
Most of them use the same name
The team who has a unique name is going to change it, probably to something that rhymes with Iders.
They play about 4 games a year
At least 3 of those are played outdoors in a blizzard
All of the players, coaches and staff are not local to the community they play in.
Most of the players coaches etc. are American, and this is the consolation prize( or punishment) for not making it into the NFL
They seem to spend most of their time, getting or being injured, in spite of wearing padding everywhere.
It is the only sport that has less action and is slower than curling.
Thanks to Covid, I can actually listen to the regularly scheduled radio programs in the evenings.

Ah that's nice but some of us like football. Yes Canadians do play on these teams and yes its fun to go watch a great sport.

Trudeau Gave 43 million to a WE charity that they still havent paid back.

The CFL asked for a loan and the feds turned it down.

        Really CFL unites Canadians.

        Trudeau Divides and destroys.

Personally, I really enjoy the CFL and the Cdn game. The CFL is more entertaining than the NFL in my view . . . more throwing and many last second comebacks in games. Also, many solid Cdn football players that make it as stars in the CFL and often have a shot at the NFL.

Saskatchewan has the best crowds, best support, there is little doubt. But I'm a Stamps fan. The rivalry is terrific and good for our cities. Spirits jump as game day approaches. And the CFL is truly Canadian. Viewership in the U.S. has been rising.

But now, there is worry for the league and players. COVID may end many careers prematurely. These are hard times for everyone involved. It would be a sad day for Canada if there wasn't another Grey Cup party on the horizon . . . there's gotta be more watermelon heads and another horse in the Royal York hotel.

Nothing better than a Sask football game on the radio when you stuck in a combine cab for endless days!

I am in a spot where I can hear Rider, Stamps and Eskimo games on the radio. Definitely more fun than country music.

40 million, fifty million thrown around everywhere but none for Oil workers, farmers or football. Guess Libs don’t like to drive, eat or watch football. Who’d of thunk it?

More money for foreign students than any of those three groups.
