    Case 3162 header

Anyone using one in Canada besides me lol
It seems I am the only dumb dumb left in western Canada left actually using one
Need new canvases , none in stock in western Canada , Red Head claims they never sold any , kinda know why ... $2200 per side .
No one can give me an answer if a standard westward canvas will work .
The canvases on this header are Raptor ...

Our Macdons have a guide/drive rib on the underside of the canvases.
I doubt equipment manufacturers make their own canvases so a good quality canvas of someone else's might work. Unless they were manufactured for Case proprietary use.

Our Macdon FD135 has a "MD" branded canvas.
The replacements we put on our 08 Macdon 150 is the same Raptor brand as in your pictures.

Find a Raptor dealer and see what they have in "bulk".

Edit in, phone a Westward dealer.

I gotta laugh, who else is using the 8200 head? I kept it when I bought the MacDon FD135 because I like the job it did. When that thing is properly dialed in it works well, but auto tilt on the front of the feeder house really helps it's performance.

But how could it possibly be better than the expensive new complicated contraptions available now?

FD's are nothing but a "hinged" header. Flex is being generous.

Found a new canvas for $860 per side from another source .
No front lip so we are just going to rivet on a canvas flap along front edge , the run a good silicone along front edge ....

Because our headers aren't under a roof we take them off every fall and store them inside.
Last year we didn't take them off the FD135 but intend to this fall.

              Alot of extra work.
