McKay would have been a guaranteed win. But Harper and the wacko gang may have backstabbed him and made that tough obviously they already did by his lack of support from the west.
O tool will take work. Speaks French from Quebec decent resume. But he has Kenny the response from Quebec and Ontario when all voters figure out Kenny is behind him will be the key if they think He’s Kenny’s or harpers puppet yes it’s over.

Lewis has proven nothing has said really nothing in the debates. Some are impressed she’s black and a woman so what? Truduea is still more feminine than she is and can be black if he wants to be. She would be the last thing we d need even worse than the guy who finished last. She had no clue on many of the questions asked Of her. Other than being a hard lined woman who wants to marry that?

Rona Ambrose was the real missed opportunity. The party should have really persued her a lot more. Smart, tough yet compassionate, easy to talk to, understand, you don’t look at her and say oh she’s a woman so that’ll get votes you look at her and say she’s the best person for the prime minister job.

Canuckistani's don't elect leaders based on competence or resumes anymore. Just whomever you want as a drinking buddy.

I wish Erin O'Toole all the best in his leadership of Canada's Conservatives. He will be well-advised to fully engage the Lewis camp and profile her smarts and ideals if he wants to unite the base.

Quite simply, exposing the true bigotry, intolerance and complete corruption of the left will propel the Conservatives to power. They will need to engage alternate media to do this - the MSM is totally in the control of the left.

The Libranos know their own vulnerability and will engage every dirty and illegal trick in the book to stop them. observant Canadians know that the Sock Boy Puppet has repeatedly demonstrated a vile lack of morals, ethics and scruples.

          The only reason @LeslynLewis
isn't the leader of the CPC right now is because the mainstream media couldn't stomach letting a black woman destroy their narrative of Conservatives in Canada.

            There's the campaign slogan - O'Toole v. O'Fool. Pure gold, farma.

            Or maybe Erin v. Airout??

            Oh the possibilities.

Or he could run on principles alone and win.

The problem with current conservatives is they do not believe in democracy. Less than 6 hours after democratically electing a new leader more Conservatives are attacking O'toole and seeing wexit as a better solution than supporting him. The conservative party is deeply divided both regionally and historically and on policy. The reformers will never compromise with the old PC rump of the party and neither are right wing enough for the social conservatives. And instead of looking in the mirror for solutions, they turn to blaming MSM for another display of Conservative catfighting. It is so sad! All I can say is Conservatives got what they deserve last night.

Much of that is true. Obviously the hard right still has too much control. I can’t believe they d rather lose than give the sure victory to McKay.

Erin O'toole? Expect more of the same with less name recognition. Erin who? Pete was looking forward to more fishing trips on the Sea King helicopters compliments the taxpayers. Oh well.

Derek Sloan is a right wing wacko with no chance. Make him leader and the CPC finishes behind the Rhinos and the Peoples party.

If the Wexit party runs candidates in the West and takes some votes from the CPC that will make sure the CPC stays in opposition for ever.

Hopefully, Lewis will end up with some influence on some issues but not on social issues. With a Masters of Environmental Studies from York University and a Law Degree perhaps she would be able to explain climate science to the the deniers and skeptics and how racism affects visible minorities!

Probably not going to change minds because many CPC types don't believe in science and academics, if they don't agree with their research results or political views. LOL

As long as the CPC continues to play to only its base, court social conservatives and ignore voters in the middle, they will be doomed to lose again even with how poorly Trudeau has performed.

Looks like the NDP will have oversized influence after the throne speech.
