Should a new or late model combine be worth as much as a modest new house?

My combine and house are about the same value. Aside from the peterbilt I could liquidate everything in this yard and probably still couldn't buy a house in town.

Being that most everything is antique, they should start gaining in value soon...

They both have their purposes but a combine is basically scrap after 30 years....I'm being generous

Atleast when the wife kicks me out of the $500k house I don’t have to live in the dog house ... just head to my $500k Hilton combine.

Should you keep farming if your neighbors equipment line is worth more than your land base? hmmm

How about the one combine, let alone whole line?

Yes....and indulge me to elaborate....guys will laugh at the guy with old machinery on paid for land and maybe not growing the top notch yield.....but his machinery costs might be single digits per acre, his inputs reasonable and he putts along enjoying it....and he actually nets more than than the top of line/ co ck of the walk type guys....
