we have had such good luck with pioneer 501, it just jumps out of the ground and never looks back
would of been the third year , but it got hailed this year . i just find 233p too slow and temperamental , not like an invigor
the 5440 and 230 were the last good ones
and basf is way over priced compared to pioneer .
every area different but pioneer seems to excel here
we grew a lot of their 45h76 clearfield before , which was also a very good canola
every summer there is a thread on here about people questioning the slow progress of their 233p

Case how is the pod shatter on that variety though? 233P is a lazy temperamental crop for sure but the pod shatter is outstanding. last yr we swathed some down before the snow and picked it up this spring, no yield loss.

we always cut it , never seems to shell , not rated pod shatter though. i think its just below the magic number, furrow would know
they do have a new pod shatter hopped up 501 next year, i think
i just don't have the patience to watch cutworms and flea beatles knaw on that 233 cause its so slow
230 was such a good variety for here
