Richardson bought 50% ash grey overwintered canola as #1 in June.

I sold 8,000 bushels of that to the feedlot in Picture Butte.

Anyone remember the fusarium conspiracy from 2016. Go dig a hole somewhere and bury it turned into a #3 a year later.

Tell me again about the non conspiracy.

Was this from a reliable source? I know people in that area, and they seem to think 70 bpa is the top around there

The bulls are telling us they’re done for the year.
Only been at it for six weeks. Pretty sweet job really. Pinkeye is running wild in some of our bunches. Brought one bunch home and probably treated 20% of the calves. A good way for a crew to burn up a day.

The corn is still percolating along. Looks like last year and lacking maturity. Probably low protein too. At least the barley looks decent so there should be plenty for supplementing.

Slowly getting the grain dryer set up too. The gas is getting put in on Tuesday and maybe by then we’ll have it assembled. Can’t wait to fire it up and start going. Keeps raining every couple of days so it’ll be needed as usual.

          Good luck everyone 🍀

All setup here but needs to be inspected by SaskEnergy to allow use. Could be a week waiting since dozens of dryers being set up. Even a new propane fill can't happen with out inspection. Is it similar in AB?

It’s the Wild West out here. Propane requires a 250 psi (I think the real old ones were 225 psi) tank and what you hook it to is your problem. The propane delivery guys are great at helping you get set up and going if you ask any questions.

For gas the contractor doing the install pulls a permit and then the county will inspect it at some later date. When we switched the shop from diesel to NG we did the work ourselves. The inspector pointed out a couple of minor issues and we corrected those, sent him pictures, and all was good.

We’ll know more next week but the gas coop is pretty decent to work with too.

              Fingers crossed 🤞

Barley got just dry again yesterday after 4 pm
Hopefully get most of it done today before this next “weather event” hits tonight/ tomorrow.
Looks like more hype than bite for here anyway.
Got to finish the last of the hailed out peas , then some canola is ready .
Wheat will be next on the agenda after that , but hard to make plans when the forecast changes completely every 6 hrs
