Shout out to neighbours with sharp eyes. After our snowmobiles were stolen we put the word out. One reported a black lifted Chevy in the area. It didn't belong. He got the plate and we turned it over to the RCMP. Turns out he's a guy that moved to our community from AB. Police have a file on him for similar thefts out there. They believe he relocated to get away from the heat out west. They don't have enough for a warrant (very hard to get) so they have him and his woman under observation hoping for a break. This is not a story about our crime as much as it is about how watching out for one another can never be understated. We had 5 tips from people in a short time. Thanks to all.

We are lucky in the Ghetto, not alot of crap happening out here. You hear of the odd incident but I wouldn't say we have a problem.

It’s the total and complete lack of respect of others , not just property but livelyhoods that is the biggest problem. It’s getting worse everyday
Look and the b/s in the US . The problem is it’s not being dealt with at all . It’s a catch and release program .... something is going to come to a head , a soon

Quote for today: "The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those that vote for a living."

Update: after beating the neighbourhood for tips we (yes we, not the police) found the guy who stole our snowmobiles. We found his home, creeped his entire life on Facebook, news clippings, etc. We found a witness that saw him painting the trailer. Turned everything over to the RCMP and they wouldn't do anything. Made a call to a crown attorney we know and all of a sudden, action.

Last night 6 police cars descended on him. Towing service was present to haul away sleds. He's going to jail.

Good thing they finally acted. Vigilantes were revving up.

Sick part is, we did all the work. Had pictures of the evidence in his yard. Witnesses. Everything.
