The only thing systemic about it is the segment of our society that is doing it. We are so lucky here in the NE, very little crime comes out of the local reserves. There is though a bit of an uptake in the Meth market here.

Yesterday they stole a painter van from NB in broad daylight with witnesses.
He finished his job and was simply loading the van from the condo
Yup , two minutes later he went back out .. gone

Neighbour found his stuff on a back road here , step ladders and paint stuff and his ledger book for work . Recognized the name and called him
Yup , stole 2 hours before
Poor guy lost everything, his tools , work stuff , van ... gone . Police don’t even have time to look anymore ... just tell him to call SGI
Another from 3 days ago was a local seed farm , broke in , stole a car , guns , and other stuff
Found the car yesterday at McDonalds drive through ... 15 year old driving it lol
Like WTF ... and this is our fault as working people . It’s stupid already

I feel for you guys, but why leave the keys in cars and trucks? We lock our trucks and hide the keys even if we are working in same field. Its time to rig up some scare cannons. KA BOOM!

We take keys out even when filling with gas at station in town. Never get out without locking and hiding any valuables. Town/city living is worse than country I think.
