Looks really good Furrow. Fall does give us some beautiful views in this business.

Looks like you are swathing a lot of your crop? Swathing is always a risk here in the swamp but it is a quick way to get crop ready if it stays dry.

          Swath about 1/3 the wheat
          Some for seed
Some on hilly land like this . Can be tricky with 45 ft heads on combine . Now will be easy on combine operators .
Swathing can be risky here as well but sometimes necessary and can speed up harvest if we get the right weather
Last year our best wheat by far was swathed ... but we got lucky and got it before wet weather hit
Always a gamble either way , I just like to hedge our bets at times . Like going to Vegas lol

Those fluffy swaths make me nervous until they settle. We've had stuff like that flip.

Its about 3 times faster than spraying it. 5-7 days vs 2 weeks. Much better shot at getting the top grade if you can find a weather window.

I don't trust chemicals at this point in the season.

Yup..... When there's nothing in the head our swaths are like feathers.

Trudeau wheat...nothing in the head. All fluff no substance.

                              First picture looking east
That entire valley was wiped out 100%
                              Most has been bailed already
