The Northwest Passage just has to have a bit more ice to melt, and it will shave 1000s of miles of travel for tankers from the west coast to Irving. It's our future prosperity if we can stop China from claiming it.

Which eastern refinery could not be upgraded to handle heavy oil?

Kenny has disappointed on a lot of fronts actually, a lot of bark but no bite. O’toole was his choice too so not sure what is going on. Hopefully just politicking from an opposition leader who can’t do much at this point.

They might be interested if they can get WCS at a Consistent discount so that they can pay for the upgrades. Has any company suggested they are willing to do it? The plan was untill the US production soared to ship it to gulf coast refineries that use lower quality Venezuelan oil similar to WCS. But that fell apart in the fracking revolution and Trumps inability to get Keystone built.

Using the NW passage comes with a big risks and a big liability. Who is going to spend the billions to clean up a spill in the arctic? Which oil and shipping companies Want that bill?
