    Mackay submarines Otoole

"""""And while the longtime Tory leader-in-waiting has few regrets, he does worry that the ever-growing influence of social conservatives within the movement could lead to more disappointment at the polls if victor Erin O'Toole can't keep them in check.""""""

Ffs Petee give up already....this is why you lost....this constant comment on someone else's abilities. ...and all those that supported him lost out on the good work they were doing....

He is right though. The cons need to learn to accept that they can take the social conservative vote for granted, and quit pandering to them at election time. Unortunately, leadership candidates still need to pander to them to become leader, which taints the leader for ever more.

Anytime the Social Cons whine, I always say go vote for Christian Heritage. That is what you ****ing want anyways.

The socon vote is just the flip side of the greens. No pandering to them is necessary.

But sorry to disagree, Mr mackay is key to flipping the maritimes. We need him in the game even if he doesnt line up perfectly with Mr Otool yet.

McKay and O’Toole are both moderate and Otoole is going to govern from the centre if he wins. There will be no right wing government anytime soon in Canada. And the small numbers of hard right wingers will have to suck it up or vote for a party that has no chance of ever forming a government.

Now that Kenney is tied with Notley in the polls it is an indication fortress Alberta is much less Conservative with the moderate progressive growth in the main cities!

Actually Chuck2 if you were half as smart as you think you would realize NDP support maxes out at 38%, same amount of support they had when they formed government. Kenney’s support has went to the Alberta Independence Party and Alberta party and a small amount to the NDP. Alberta Independence Party up to 7%.

Hamloc, Alberta let the Conservatives run the province for how many decades and then finally decided that democracy works best if you don't blindly vote for the same party with the same old thinking term after term. Otherwise they become corrupt and out of touch which is what happened.
