Maybe they will have dedicated trains to move water to L.A. ?😊
And most importantly, there can be a ton of snow, and it can get below -25 C where reliability and safety can be questioned.
I think it’s a great move for everyone. Won’t be the last project that governments co-operate on (the great split?)

A private consortium owns churchill port and it gets grain now again.
As we have seen with CWB, monopolies can be broken with legislation.
I imagine that rail would have huge tourism opportunities as well. Makes more sense than a hyperloop between Calgary and Edmonton.Last edited by jazz; Sep 26, 2020, 19:48.

Probably not relevant but shipping grain out in boxesis huge here into so called niche markets which aint niche no more such is the volume exported.
Traders who use containers pay overs for grain to get guys to sell to em.
Have a mate he solely and wholey Sells to box market. Basically has to store total crop on farm in his case around 10,000 tonne then basically jan when harvest is winding down the box market cranks up.
PS disclaimer not sure how much covid has affected box trade almost entirely to asia se asia and north africa.

There is a competing project along the same route with indigenous backing. Maybe the two will get together now.
