As a capital asset solar systems are a great accelerated deduction

    Thats a subsidy. period...

If you cant admit it you are being disingenuous with yourself and others...

Put yourself in the same pot as the oil and gas producers you complain about subsidies....

"The Government of Canada makes clean energy projects, such as solar energy, wind energy and energy from waste, more fiscally attractive for industry by providing business income tax incentives.

Under Classes 43.1 and 43.2 in Schedule II of the Income Tax Regulations, certain capital costs of systems that produce energy by using renewable energy sources or fuels from waste, or conserve energy by using fuel more efficiently are eligible for accelerated capital cost allowance. Under Class 43.1, eligible equipment may be written-off at 30 percent per year on a declining balance basis. In general, equipment that is eligible for Class 43.1 but is acquired after February 22, 2005 and before year 2025 may be written-off at 50 percent per year on a declining balance basis under Class 43.2. Without these accelerated write-offs, many of these assets would be depreciated for income tax purposes at annual rates between 4 and 20 percent."
If you run your farm like your mouth there is probably a lot of noise and moving around, but nothing of value coming out. LOL LOL LOL

Trump is the model businessman that several Righties on Agriville aspire to.

Donny has File for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy six times, and owes the Bank of China and Deutsche Bank $100s of million of dollars. Is this how some of you run your farming operations? I know I don't have any bill collectors knocking on the farm house door.

Kinda ironic that China will eventually foreclose on Trump, I wonder how many Righties will be coming to defend Donald when that happens?

Honest to God already. Your blood pressure must be maxed out, for nothing. If your from the meota area like has been mentioned on here before, you shouldn't have to worry about being a victim of the areas high crime rate because I'm pretty sure that the local criminal element knows that they would be dealing with a serious psycho, and leave your shit untouched.

Can you highlight the agriculture subsidies. ?

And then we could have a separate thread about the money sent to ag industries ...not farmers....that fall under the ag subsidies ...

Then compare what the industries related to agriculture are getting compared to the individual farmer.

It’s interesting trump the constant liar just got caught again stating he made hundreds of millions one year and now in the tax returns he had a loss of 40 million. And then wonders why the tax people are auditing him. Lmao!

But the not paying the taxes is only the one part of fraud he’s committing the more important part for is who he owes money to and therefore foregoing power to who in the world?
Russia China we already know the saudis are bank rolling a number of his companies.

This has serious implications for our ag products as well as oil industry.

Then you never built a asset heavy business from scratch then like Trump did. All such businesses have debts and some have to revolve that debt or term it and the bills eventually come due. How did you buy your land?

He could have sat on his inheritance like Trudeau but instead he put it to work turning a few million into many multiples of that.

Crop insurance premiums, ag invest, ag stability, fuel tax rebates, plant breeding and research etc. And some economists describe supply management industries and import tariffs as a subsidy which they are not in my opinion. I think with supply management included the OECD says Canadian farmers receive 8 or 9% of their income from subsidies. That may not be the correct number but we can sort out the details later. FCC as a government lender to farmers is also giving preferential treatment to farmers that may not be available from other sources in some cases. A form of support. There will be more examples because 10 provinces have there own ag programs and I don’t kNow them all. What are the combined federal provincial ag budgets less administration across Canada? That will give a pretty good idea what the subsidies and support to ag are except for tax incentives and rebates.

What’s going to happen if Trump loses the election and Trudeau is propped up by the NDP for several more years? A lot of the Agriville righties are going to go bananas! “More” bananas I should say. If Trump is gone and the USA has a sane centrist Democrat at the helm who and what will the mal contents aspire to? Russia’s Putin is praised occcasionally by some of the mal contents. Trump admires him and his authoritarian rule. He poisons and jails his political opponents. I expect some of the righties will tell us how “great” Russia is! LOL
