What a stress on health care system.
More have died from other issues because they couldn't get treatment.

forage, newguy explain Sweden! Don't avoid proof!
From Tom Woods, he destroys the SCANDEMIC very well...
It's now looking as if Sweden, which was savaged by respectable opinion for not locking down, will end the year with zero or negative excess mortality.
What the hell are we doing?
It's funny, by the way: Doomers are so wedded to their voodoo pseudoscience that they have to keep dancing around Sweden rather than admit that their rain dances aren't actually what bring the rain.
When you used to bring up Sweden, the response was: they have a high death rate! What a disaster!
Now, when Sweden is being vindicated every day, the response is: oh, they voluntarily complied with various mitigation practices, and that's why it worked out so well! (To some degree yes, but I recommend looking through pictures from Stockholm during these months and drawing your own conclusion.)
Notice what they cannot say:
"Hmm, maybe there was another way to go about this after all."
No way.
They are too invested in the voodoo to turn their backs on it.
And after the wreckage they've left everywhere, with deaths piling up in the Third World, depression and suicide spiking like crazy, millions of deaths now baked into the future because of missed screenings and other non-COVID procedures, and people's life savings wiped out and businesses destroyed, I doubt we can expect them to admit anything.
At this point, they wouldn't dare.
As for Sweden's death rate, by the way: they had about 5,000 deaths, in a country of 10 million. At least two thirds of those were in long-term care facilities, where they admit they did a poor job. But the quality of long-term care facilities in Stockholm is obviously unrelated to the effectiveness of the pandemic mitigation strategy pursued by society as a whole.
By June they had had 4,000 deaths. Neil Ferguson's model predicted that without lockdowns they were going to have 96,000 by June.
So again, instead of saying, wow, we must really not understand this as well as we think we do if Sweden beat our projections by a factor of twenty-four -- you know, the kind of thing an honest person who's genuinely trying to learn and has no axe to grind might say -- they just change their story as I indicated above or, more commonly, they never mention Sweden again.
We knew the truth about Sweden all along in the Tom Woods Show Elite, because we got frequent updates from a Swedish expat and Columbia University graduate who followed the situation closely.
It must sure be getting tempting to click that link....

Total COVID deaths - 1 person in their 80s
Locally our health unit covers about 130,000. We’ve had 5 COVID deaths, all elderly and in poor health. I personally know of more suicides than that just in September.
If this is ever over we’re going to see that outside the big cities we’ve sacrificed more lives than we’ve saved
