As long as the women are discussing lack of transparency, the 45 boats at the west coast ,plugged elevators etc etc ...its all good....
I am not whining about anything unless facts are considered whining. ..
As I said in one one of my posts I have no problem with women in agriculture....my wife is a great combine operator and my daughter is great with horses and pushing cattle. ..both love the farm and I include them ....
But like all younger people entering this industry there has to be some money to be made in this...and they may have to be subsidized to get started. ...male or female. ...
Hope that makes more sense.

Can they not talk about other things?
Dangers of working alone. Struggles with childcare. Health and safety on the farm. Remote schooling. Mental health.
All concerns that are more likely to be voiced by women than men.
It’s not like by having a round table with 25 women, somebody is filling up their capacity and can, in no way, listen to men about other concerns.
Do you also get all worked up when the beef producers or hog guys or chicken fellows sit down and chat? After all, they aren’t going to be talking about elevators and boats either.
If you have concerns, work to get them heard. Don’t get grouchy that somebody else is getting to talk but they aren’t talking about the things you would.
My concerns are not your concerns but that doesn’t make them any less valid. I wouldn’t begrudge you the opportunity to voice and discuss yours so why do you begrudge others?

Hey bucket . Your talk about the ships
Waiting in port.
Must be the harsh winter.
Or overwhelmed with oil traffic
Sounds like the railroads are looking
for a raise again .
What a deal . With oil hauling revenue
Down . They must figure it is time to
extract more from us.
Just give crappy service .create demand
For your own product.
Works every time. All they have to
Do is promise to do better.
Or face a 50,000 $ fine when they do
Not deliver, which they don't have to pay anyway .
How many times must we go thru this?
What is that fool me once thing .
Well they have done the same thing to us like 6 times.
Is there something below total fool.
I think we are there.
Oh but the western Canadian wheat growers
Will be all onside for another freight rate increase .
Surely it will work this time.
But there is a silver lining, this time
You can blame Trudeau for it.
Not that I think the liberals are much help.
But it really was the conservatives, the folks that
Got our seed costs equal to land rent.
Those folks , that sold the rail cars , and signed trade deals ensuring the railways monopoly could not be touched. I think they should be holding the bag on this one.
Who can blame the railways , why not hose the %$#@ out of farmrrs if you can.
If you have the right political connections, why not.
Strange , been farming since 73 , they still can't move
Grain.Last edited by sawfly1; Sep 29, 2020, 22:50.
