Can see the end in sight now, if combines hold together 2 days left of standing canola.

Hate to sound like a broken record but my harvest mood is one of surprise. I have to be honest I thought my canola was as good as last year but no such luck, down 7-8 bushels per acre from last year. Considering the good moisture conditions this year I had hoped for better.

We’re down to 10 quarters left it’s a great feeling to see the end.

Heavy fog this morning till now and it got to -3 last night so our first killing frost.

      Garden is done.

You unload on the go between swaths, that’s got to be a pain for the cart driver. We always unload on the outside swath.

It’s pretty hard for all the combines to be on an outside swath when getting full.

Virtually everyone wrapping up around here.
West and north still have a ways to go .
Good to see after two terrible harvests .

It’s not that hard to do, in wheat, barley and canola we will eat a swath or two backwards If we have to until all 3 combines are able to unload on the go on the outside. Only when one combine passes another do we run into a problem but mostly we like to set it up so we’re unloading at the beginning of the swath.

Yeah you got a sheet metal works nearby or fabricator? Draw plans get them to make similar. Lick feeders are probably more populatvthan normal ad lib feeders

No realissues they shatter easily have to pick your weather and extended cutting table makes it easier or tin front.

If we lose some sheep eat them

Mallee where does your water come from in your pastures? Do you have wells or dams or pipelines? Just curious. We use all the methods I mentioned.
