And will they be willing to put their dollars into a political forum where extreme views on both sides can be a liability to advertisers. I doubt if agriville is a public service. It purpose is to generate revenue like any business therefore any move that could hurt ad revenues will not be taken lightly.
Devils advocate DML why would anyone involvedin ag advertise here when a bunch of left wing loonies right wing loonies and all the rest of us loonies in between talk about anything but ag at t8mes....

Edit do the loudest trump supporters and trump haters go onto to polical websites to air there views as well?

      Just wondering.

What would Saskfarmer do if he could not end every post with a Trudeau attack? Who will police the site to make sure only marketing info is on it? I'm with dml on this. It is a business, I'm sure the owners have run the numbers, and concluded that the current arrangement is attracting the traffic and therefore the advertising dollars they need to be profitable.
Wild guess that Chuck probably generates half the posts on here, not Chuck alone, but the responses to his posts, and the follow up threads. It would be nearly dead without him and his comrades. We can only agree with eachother so many times before it ceases to be interesting without a pot stirrer.

That said, it is possible that the site is missing out on a lot of other potential posters, and former posters who might join/rejoin if there was a place for civil on topic discussion. Canadian agricultural advertising dollars might be much more effective targetting a much wider agricultural audience, than the same handful of posters, many of which don't seem to have any interest in Agriculture, or even Canadian issues.

Simple solution, doesn't require any moderation, or changes. We all start posting ag related topics, in one of the ag related forums( crop production or machinery), with ag related titles, and all the posters who have no interest in ag won't know where we went.
