How hard is it to do a “political policy cuurent affairs” forum?

Just a thought.

Plenty of unused forums here organic for example.

Any harm in trying?

Anyone agree we should at least give it a go if its no good return to original helter skelter after a month.

I put personal stuff up for interest in commodity section when i shouldnt maybe a general interest forum?

And commodity crop production even machinery could be co joined into one forum.

Beef sheep etc could be rolled into livestock.

But dont actually change website functions though just change some forums.

Also a pain to put videos and pics up at times.

Just a few saturday morning suggestions.

If the majority want it as it is im fine with that as well.

Quick update my ranch, 10 to 20 mm sunday 90% forecast then wednsday rinse repeat another 15 to 25 mm a three state if it happens wow bin buster for australia. Pretty rare to get rain just when needed at crucial time but a follow up 4 to 5 days later is as rare as a hooker at a gay night club.

As it stands come closer to usa election commodity forum is just gonna be 2020 election talkfest which will reach fever pitch.

That works, but it’s gonna be pretty slow around here just talking about commodities. Rural issues might work for the political stuff, the last thread was almost a year ago and the last 25 threads are up to 4 years ago. I’m guessing most of the posters will just post elsewhere.

The thing you are forgetting with your suggestion Mallee is that traffic drives ad dollars. You move all none ag marketing related posts to another forum and all of a sudden ag industry is going to question the value of advertising on the marketing site. And will they be willing to put their dollars into a political forum where extreme views on both sides can be a liability to advertisers. I doubt if agriville is a public service. It purpose is to generate revenue like any business therefore any move that could hurt ad revenues will not be taken lightly.

If it is just moving to another site, then why are posters not moving themselves to rural issues? And if they did offer a political site, what is to stop posters from deviating from marketing and continuing to post thoughts of a political nature on the marketing site? What would Saskfarmer do if he could not end every post with a Trudeau attack? Who will police the site to make sure only marketing info is on it? And is local weather conditions, personal yields, or pesticides used truly marketing - I don't think so? So if you are calling for a moderated forum with oversight to make sure the rules are followed, I suspect you will have to have a time out for your last word in your post which I assume you are directing at me./

Dontya reckon if suggested to post in political area jazz and chuck etc wouldnt do it? I reckon they would. They wannago hell for leather innthat forum they would.
