    Helmsdale suggested it.

I'm only suggesting rules to Admin for that forum. No amateur debaters allowed!

How does one get certified as a "mature" master debater? How much hands on experience does one need? So many questions...

There's a user block feature or users can choose not to reply to someone.

            Hi Nicole,
Are you going to set up the political thread? If so will you follow through with the plan to shut off any one who brings up politics in the commodity thread or makes personal attacks?

Mallee since you are the one who suggested it, I assume you are on board? Tom? Blaithin? AGstar? Who else is on board? If this doesn’t happen I am assuming that it is business as usual? Let us know what your planning.

I think we are all adults ( with one possible exception, as pointed out by Blaithin), we could collectively decide to just not post, and not respond to political threads on this forum, and decide to take them to one of the other forums. Or vice versa.

We don't require hand holding from some higher authority to Make Agriville Great Again.

So I assume that you will give up on the political and personal attacks and comments as well? I am happy with that if everyone agrees. But you already broke that rule by referring to someone on the site as not an adult.

Social media has forced us into left and right. You either stand with team Chuck, or you stand with team Jazz (sorry to you both) and there is a huge chasm in between that shall never be crossed. This is both the greatest strength and also the greatest downfall of all social media. It was why Twitter was invented, surround yourself with people who think and respond with only the ways you agree with. Ag Twitter can be incredibly mean - much like Agriville as it seems everyone in Ag can "convince" you. Social media will never do that.

Being in policy today is just as difficult. Finding middle ground is becoming harder and harder as the "sides" dig in which in the end creates very little good policy. We have forgotten that society isn't left and right but is a balance. FarmJunkie posted about social NDP phucktard ideas, well, schools, medicare, police, the military etc are all social phucktard ideas. A happy healthy functional for all society begins with a balance of social and capitalist policy, ideas, and thinking. Too much of one way is never good. Today we see that everywhere. The US is that example where you have the perception of socialists destroying and taking all your money on one side and white supremacist capitalists without medicare and talking only about making money on the other side. You have to be blind to see that that is not in any way healthy.

Agriville is like a society, cultures are hard to change, but if the focus is put more on finding a solution, common ground, answers, and the full realization that the extremes of positions do not work for that society, posts would probably be more thought out and actually helpful.

But as i type this, i also wonder, why bother. Maybe addictions to unhealthy things are the worst of all. And social media is a terrible addiction.
