You might have to blame me for that , I hauled an extra 40T one day when I wasn't supposed to, I had a neighbor helping me haul and lost track of how many loads had went. .30 cents is still a pretty good price. I see now that RP at Crooked River is over 5 bucks for Synergy.

The green combines are very impressive.they have obviously made a lot of good decisions ( and likely some bad).
How big is too big? There is no answer for that except it doesn’t matter how big or small the farm, or family is, the friends, neighbours, other farming families will always try to put down or be little others that are in the same Buisness around them. It’s always been that way, 80 acre farmers 75 years ago or 50,000 acre farmers today.
It is what it is, it takes all kinds, big and small. Fact is the bigger they are the more opportunities for smaller specialized, businesses. There is always a way to compete, just might not fit with your political, family, social, economic, or other philosophical ideals. Read some books, not agriville or internet to figure your ideals, wants and needs.

Snowing this morning.
Fall work didn't quite go as planned.
Hard and dry. Moisture probe only goes in in low spots. So, a few problem fields to deal with in spring and hopefully some Avadex then as well.
Major units at the shop for pre season work.
Most wheat pre sold and delivered off combine. Starting to sell next years. A little.
The usual company that offered off combine cant take till who knows when though. Only a small wreck thankfully.
Yep, pea acres will be less here next year. Wheat acres may be all CPS if Kansas keeps running.
Pod shatter canola only from now on.
Canola yields a pleasant surprise considering the heat wave.
Bran frosting on HRS kicking us once again.
Barley no longer a serious consideration here.
Now to spend the next 5 months focusing on my son.

Got all the cow dung flung out this week. Had three trucks come help us and it went great except for a few breakdowns. Only had a front spring pack break on our truck while my dad’s cousin was on the road and it almost sucked him into the ditch. Then one of the custom guy’s trucks had a fan get hungry and it ate the radiator for lunch.
There’s a truck ahead of the steamy moo poo. The snowy hills were fun but it got easier and traction improved after it hit -12. The tracks on the tractor were slipping on the drive wheels from snow and manure getting inside but it got done at least. Heading out tomorrow to go bust up some tired old rough pasture that we just took on renting. Fun times in hills out west.
Normally we get till hallowe’en before Ma Nature shuts the door but I think the writing is on the wall ............. or in the snow😉 At least there’s still grass for the cows yet.
