We did the mail in ballot for Sask election. There was a deadline to apply and to be postmarked. I assume we would have been flagged at polling station. We never would have bothered taking the time to vote since we voted Sask party and we were a safe Sask party riding. I just wanted to try it out and cannot imagine ever voting in person again. We voted when we wanted instead of organizing life around polling station hours.

It’s like watching reality TV. Which this election is highlighting perfectly.
You also need to get out of your black and white world. Just because I don’t like Trump doesn’t mean I love the other guy. I have enough dislike in me to cover many people.Last edited by Blaithin; Nov 4, 2020, 10:17.

I would not think it is possible to vote twice in your own name, in this age of computers it would be a very simple job to cross reference who was sent mail in ballots and cross them off at the voting stations. To think that the Democrats or the Republicans are more likely to cheat the system is a stupid thought, statistically it would be a 50/50 chance on both sides. When they do get the final results I expect the loser will cry it was fixed.

I support a politician for their policies only and I support trump because he is the only guy who will put a end to globalization, the same guys who are pushing new green deals and great resets. Thats it.
You would be wise to inform yourself better.

Here's how i feel about it.
Putting the candidates aside.
I have always been envious of how their govt is structured and how it is elected.
In a purely hypothetical situation it can still come down to one person's vote.
In a large disparate geography with polarized views on both sides.
They still come down to a horserace.
In Canada its over before the votes are counted in MB. With no influence on decisions beyond one vote for one MP.
Again, candidate and party aside.
Democracy is intrinsically messy.
But I believe they have the most efficient. History affords us the luxury of knowing the outcome when we ask "what if"? It would seem it turns out rather well 4 times out of 5 over the last 240 years. And when it doesn't it affects a change for the better.
With a balance we in Canada can only dream of.
20 years from now they may well look back on the Trump era as having brought tensions to the surface. Which is much better than letting them simmer for generations as we do.
Either way it will be all new candidates next time.

If voter fraud is possible, republicans would be just as likely as democrats to vote twice.

I would hope it would have to have a postmarked deadline.
I would hope if a mail in ballot was issued in your name the voter's list at your usual polling station would indicate such.
I would hope......
