Malt HAS to be better than $5, stuck there for years because farmers sign up enough! Should be closer to $10, with the price of beer! Wheat price is plain RAPING of farmers. $20 or f*ck off and starve. We had $6 40 years ago? What a world.

                    I don't know about that, 1600lbs/ac @ $.32 is $512.00/ac, nothing to sneeze at.

                    2021
No oats, running into wild oat problems, split the oat acres between barley and Canaryseed.
                    45% Canola
                    30% Barley
                    25% Canaryseed

Going to stick to this rotation for a few years. LEPs comments are correct re reds. We need new issues in India to occur with their red crop or Australia and our current CDN inventories are likely to weigh on the market.
You don't have any issues with root rot/aphanomyces?

Nothing but perennials, gonna leave the grains and oilseed markets for the rest of you.

Not sure if we want to seed even 1 acre of worthless wheat.
Even feed bly kicks its ass.

Half Faller feed wheat. Half canola. Just like the last many years. Find me a more profitable rotation for this area and I'll try it. Lather, rinse, repeat, cash the ****ing cheque. 80 bpa Faller, 50 bpa canola here this year.
