Devils advocate are you guys forced to sell and sign contracts?

Basically 6 days a week 10 hours a day here for contracts.

Or set and forget contracts here name your price contract done but you have to be dilligent in case you want to ammend your target price or pull out of contract all together.

You can have contract in place say 200t of wheat price not being met just ring buyer pull your offer. Non binding all target contracts here.

Mallee, is that contract an open contract that any buyer can pick up or is it specific to one buyer?

Say the grain is in one of the community storage facilities, if you sign a target contract can any buyer accept it?

Do price offers tend to weaken when the free storage period is ending?

It’s pretty much not written but understood reality that if you don’t have a signed contract your grain won’t get moved. Or at minimum without contract chances a lot slimmer to move grain.

Yes we have what we call target prices that we offer x amount of grain for x amount of price during a given delivery period. You can put out these targets with different companies but have to be sure you have rhe grain because if they all
Accept your target at same time you have to have rhe grain

should be some sort of system we can put out our asking price to all the companies and then they compete for it.

But that’s not our main problem our main problem is we give them all out production info and we basically get none back as to what the world situation is or even what the current situation is domestically. People in the middle scoop a lot of money that should be ours.

Can do both actually specific buyer or a open offer.

                  Geez thats crazy.

Could almost say your markets are only semi deregulated.

Seeems reading your guys comments buyers never come to you always other way around.

Some times the big guys call we need x amount of grain over next two weeks they bid, usually overs, some take itcsome dont. Getscloser to date and they have upped the stakes you know they still need tonnes i nearly always take second bid rather than wait for third bid if thereis one. Relationship building.

One thing buyers hate is farmers saying i want x forvgrain, gets close to x they contact farmer he says nah i want $6 more gets to that same guys says nah want another 3 bucks they dont deal with em.

Secret is pull grain during run up if you think its going higher well before last moment, as opposed to above comment, they know you’ve got the tonnes. If you list it.
