I don’t mean to come across ridiculing ppl. I simply mean, some people are very fearful, I respect that. I don’t think it is a founded, scientific fear, but they are free to feel the fear if they must.

Once the virus has arrived your only choice is to try to reduce and slow its spread. Masks are an important way to do this.

Countries who have successfully reduced covid spread have been very strict in their efforts.

You can thank the Donald for spreading lies and politicizing the virus and wearing of masks.

Yes yes Donald"s fault and lets not forget Stephan Harper!

How often to change the mask, the material the mask is made of, Is a dirty mask better than no mask, will people have a false sense of security. In winter we are inside more in shared air spaces I don’t think if you have an infected air space a mask will take away the risk unless it is a properly fitted N95 mask. Look at how many health care workers who wear masks and should observe hand washing protocols still get infected. A complicated issue imo and running down or insulting people doesn’t convince in my experience.
This was recognized with the potential to be very bad and as we see to our neighbors it has become that. None of us had or have all the answers still. But if potential is there to be really bad it’s irresponsible to not do your part IMO
This is a situation where each individuals actions affects others well-being by many times over.
Me not wearing a seatbelt I get a fine and it’s over it doesn’t cause you to not wear a seatbelt
Infecting one other person can infect many others .

As far as all the protocols for wearing a mask I believe they have gone over much of it. Wash daily etc.

And as far as calling people out or down I m not accepting getting bashed directly or snidely either just because I m not narrow mindedly accepting everything one side extreme left or extreme right say. You do it to me you get it right back. As far as I’m concerned rhe reason we don’t have a centre view is that area plays too nice. Anyone talking stupid based on political ideology not the facts should be called out.

They have masks for a long time.
Maybe they need the 3 ply?
            Or visors?

Yes because too many 30 plus parties and extra unnecessary things that shouldn’t have been allowed to happen. We wanted to feel good for the election. The infection spiral takes weeks to show its effect. Many that don’t show symptoms but transmit are rhe real problem. Everyone putting on a mask today doesn’t stop what was started prior it only slows it down in the future. At a certain point the only thing stopping the ripple effect is total lockdown whether you like it or not. The hospitals are at capacity. It’s. Not serious until it’s you or your family that needs the icu whether it’s covid or not related.

Some good points Hamloc, your mannerism is always good.

I have to question your final statement though, if your going to point out rudeness please be consistent to all posters especially to those who may have the same view as yours. There is rudeness on both sides of the topics on Agriville.

As for debating mask wearing, of coarse the anti-vaxxer's here on Agriville will never agree with mask wearing. Their bubble claim is so baseless, the world is so mobile now.

Here's a small cut and paste for the anti-vaxxer's on Agriville

"Polio is a very contagious infection that is caused by the poliovirus. Thanks to immunization, Canada has been polio free for the last 20 years. But before the polio vaccine was introduced in 1955, thousands of Canadian children were affected.

Polio crippled tens of thousands of Canadians until the vaccine was introduced. It used to be called "infantile paralysis" or "the crippler"; because it could permanently damage nerve cells that control muscles."

But then again as you ridicule you say you wear one have to wonder if that’s said in appeasement or fact. But anyway as far as risk and I don’t really know what you do based on your confusing remarks and I don’t care. All I say and many people do the same I don’t buy anywhere that doesn’t take this seriously. How effective it is I don’t really know the exact number but no way someone coughing or sneezing wirh a mask on spreads more than someone who doesn’t, don’t require a doctor to figure that out. Whether that’s when I see them or don’t see them handling food. That’s just my opinion.
It’s just like rhe restaurant business some complain about the restrictions but soon realize if people aren’t confident that a restaurant is doing all it can to ensure safety you can have zero restrictions and not enough people will go there. What they will tell you is people will go only if they feel the restaurant is doing it’s upmost best that they can.
I m sure your doing your best.
Leading by example goes a long way.

Now we were given notice that senior homes have been shut down again. Yet pretty much every person working there is young, has many people living with them who are rotating within society. Yet the senior’s very immediate family, who are older, masked up, staying at home, they are the threat. This is so much BS.
