Our medical care is 2nd to none. Its the best money can buy. Except you can't buy it.

If I show up at the Dr. on Monday looking for a stress test and angiogram he'll put me on a list. If I show up at the hospital on Tuesday having a heart attack they'll move heaven and earth to save me. That's just wrong. Somehow, someway there has to be a blended system that looks after everyone but lets us be proactive at our own expense.

And don’t get me started on the lockdown. Our 12 year old had a lump on his arm in March, Doctor thought it was a cyst but scheduled him for an MRI first of April. He FINALLY got rescheduled for one last week. Radiologist called Monday and has him scheduled for an X ray and Ultrasound this weekend, he thinks it might be lymphoma.

When I was about 25, my blood tests showed possible leukemia. That was 46 years ago. Nothing ever crept up on me after two weeks of tests. Hope your son is same Dalek. 🙏🏼

It doesn’t seem any bigger than it was then so hopefully that’s a good sign

Get well soon , just talked to my
                  Brother the other night.
Was really sick for 10 days.
                  Swift current.
Had a Ct scan , found some things
                  Same comment about how professional
                  And quickly they handled it.
I too have nothing but good things to say
                  In my experience

Great to see the positive views about our acute health care system. We do need to make improvements in our long term care system though especially in Ontario and Quebec.

I think we take for granted how important good and affordable health care is. It becomes much more important as we age.

                      Get well soon SF.

Ct scan again today and my guts and origins are ok. But still have three very small infection spots they will look into again. Yes our USA coverage would of covered all so far probably 100000 in. Our system is great when you need it. Big day tomorrow

I pay $90 per week forprivate health cover.

Need hip replacement some time soon again usually 3 week wait roughly i think $ 14 k for new hip my out of pocket costs might be $700 or thereabouts.

Public medicare no cost but waiting list for hips 2 years nearly maybe worse since covid has happened.

Ps my $90 per week me missus and son its gold service but still two levels above.

But my wreck list is so far at 57 one new hip 2 knee sc****s 3 rounds of shoulder surgery one shoulder got screws in it, carpal tunnels both done and my real joy in life colonoscopies had i think 4 of them all7nder private health cover so they have lost money on me.

Been banged up over years sport aussie rules footy motorbikes and rockclimbing and odd blue when ive had the beejeebers knocked out of me.

                            Such is life.

Holy crap you are a walking bionic! Oh SF3 would pay ZERO for his hospital, My Dad for two hips two brain bleeds paid ZERO out of pocket. And doctors and nurses were fantastic. Same for homecare today, they are fantastic. Yes they pay extra for that, $600 a month.
