Nobody knows how many people have contracted Covid, most cases are very subtle, I won’t likely get tested unless I’m hospitalized, even if I’m sick, why would I bother getting tested?

You’d bother if you were considering the fate of other that you’d infect if you have it If you don’t give a shit then you wouldn’t bother.
It’s not at all only old people. So many health care people have died.

They were discussing the flu yesterday and here in Alberta 0 cases of the flu so far, last year at this time we were at 139, still a relatively small number compared to covid. But I am sure the testing rate for covid is many times higher than it ever was for the flu.

I would guess the occurrence of the common cold and other contagious infections would be lower than other years also as people are maybe a bit more conscious of their health and most following the covid recommendations. It's not all bad news.

If I was sick I’d stay home, now if I was sick and wanted to be tested I’d have to drive at least two hours and wait in a lineup two more hours, probably stop for gas somewhere, maybe even stop for a bite to eat and at minimum put a few people at risk of catching whatever I had.
