Rural patients will be getting second rate care is what that means. They’ve gutted too many smaller centres they should have had more Regional centres at least all with top end capebilities. they don’t have that.
Most people if they have something serious just bypass the local hospital because it just wastes time while they figure out what to do without any useful equipment. Moe should announce where people should go now.

Medical Doctors, immunologists, virologists, infection control have spent a lifetime studying diseases, maybe its time to start listening to them rather then facebook and twitter.

I don't get the concern about ventilators being in short supply... Didn't the Federal Liberals contract with a defeated Liberal MP to supply a bunch of new ones to the health system... I also thought all the provincial gov'ts ordered more... was this from the same newly formed company that the Feds ordered from????
maybe the Health system will balance its self..

Here's a bit of perspective. Make sure you note the date of the article.
Here's the crux and the spoiler:
From the article "Saskatoon's St. Paul's Hospital and Royal University Hospital are at a "critical overcapacity situation," according to the Saskatoon Health Region."
Spoiler: It's from February 2016

Jay-Mo, Yup at the time they were expecting a few weeks of increased hospitalizations due to flu and were facing pressure. Now imagine that the whole country is facing a covid pandemic plus flu, plus the mental stress that goes with it and we're just beginning to see a serious ramp up in covid cases and hospitalizations that might get much worse!
You still think it is nothing to worry about? Have you seen the faces and listened to the tone of Premier Kenney, Moe, and Palliser? do they look like they have nothing to worry about?

Economy can not ever be back to normal until covid is under control. You open up everything while covid is out there and the 60 plus people will quit going on holidays out to eat and the list goes on.Much of the economies disposable money is in the hands of the 60 plus people. Not a group of consumers you want to ignore.
