    Makes some sense.

However how many transmissions have you heard of linked back to work? Most I’ve heard of are from social outings, gatherings, sports, etc.

When I get it it’s almost guaranteed it’s going to be from work but it’s going to get to work because somebody was hanging out with a large group of “cohorts”.

The lockdowns hit the retail side of the economy, but not the commerical/manufacturing side.

Even though most retail outlets are either closed or severely restricted, the commercial and manufacturing side continues pretty much as it did before covid.

Every day, thousands of truck cross both provincial and international borders. These trucks carry essential goods, but many of the people driving them are inevitably carrying Covid. There is no practical way to quarantine these people.

Every day, while retail workers sit at home watching their workplaces literally die off, large numbers of industrial and commercial workers ride to work on public transit and carpool. Then they show up at facilities which were not designed for virus eradication. It is impossible to rebuild all this infrastructure with virus protection in mind. When the first outbreaks hit, there were suggestions that these workers be housed where they work, but this is absolutely impractical and horrendously expensive.

Shut down the commercial/manufacturing side of the economy and you will have mass starvation in short order. We desperately need to think of ways to sensibly live with the virus and focus on isolating those that are most vulnerable. Locking down the retail economy and putting the population under virtual house arrest is an utterly self-defeating strategy.

As an aside, having a centrally planned medical care system is the worst possible way to deal with a pandemic. Like every other centrally planned system, medicare was not designed to be responsive to sudden spikes in demand. You need a transparent price system to do that, and that does not exist in Canada.
And where is your evidence for this assertion about this medical system or are just blowing smoke? If not then stick to economics.

Did they move the pipeline workers that were camped there out first?

                Repurposed covid re-education facility.

Trudeau is just dying to house some rebellious farmers in there and show them the error of their ways.

The rest of the story . Report of Church of G#d gathering of 100 on Sunday. I guess these thoughtless people won't beg for help when they get covid. Shows a real christian spirit towards hospital workers. Other church groups have found responsible ways to worship.

Hanover School Division has closed all school within their division. All Steinbach schools are in the heart the Hanover School Division. I guess that's what happens with a 40% positivity test rate.

Then there's this story regarding the people of faith in the Steinbach area worshipping in the Church of God. Meanwhile the Steinbach hospital staff are running on empty and the hospital is full.

                        CTV News report:

"Around 8:35 a.m. on Sunday, officers in Steinbach, Man., were called to the incident at a church in the R.M. of Hanover, Man.

Mounties went to the church and spoke with a representative. Corporal Julie Courchaine with the Manitoba RCMP said it’s believed there were “well over 100” people inside the church at the time."

A video posted online by Pastor Henry Hildebrandt from the Church of God in Aylmer, Ontario Sunday criticized RCMP for showing up to the Steinbach Church of God to break up the service, saying it violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

“Who would’ve thought that in times like this, in Canada, in the United States, in Austria -as they were approached by police – that police would come to our doors, and say ‘do you realize that you’re not allowed to have a church service?’” he said. “God knows what is happening, and we must stand together, regardless of what the consequences are.”

Hopefully Pastor Hildebrandt can drive to Steinbach from Ontario and put his hand on an infected Covid parishioner's forehead and rid them of the virus. No need for the use of the Steinbach Hospital, which is full science based remedies.
